Demetrius Lewis had many of us laughing after video from local news outlet WSVN showed him shooting his shot at a Florida judge during a hearing.
Lewis, a defendant appearing at a virtual bond court appearance on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, took a moment out of his hearing for a bit of levity as he spoke to Judge Tabitha Blackmon.
“Judge, you [are] so gorgeous, so gorgeous judge, I just had to tell you. You’re gorgeous,” Lewis said in video shared by WSVN.
SHOOTING HIS SHOT – A defendant apparently tried to make a move on a Broward judge during his bond court appearance this morning, but he didn’t seem to get very far. 😂

Blackmon flashed a smile and thanked Lewis for his compliment but reminded him that unfortunately, flattery would do little to change the fact that he is charged with attempted burglary of an occupied dwelling. His bail was set at $5,000.
“Thank you Mr. Lewis. Flattery will get you everywhere, but maybe not here,” Blackmon said. “The court finds probably cause on count 1 of an occupied dwelling.”
The short clip drew a lot of responses online.
